our fun-tastic book launch

In case you haven’t heard, our CEO and leading lizard tamer, Christine A. MacKay, wrote a book!

Destination Animation - How Smart Marketeers Convey Complex Messages Memorably hit the shelves late November 2021, and can you believe it: it’s an AmazonKindle bestseller!

Destination Animation is the one-stop resource for smart marketing professionals and business owners who need to boost marketing potential and shine a light on their business.

And as the very first book about B2B animation EVER to be published, Christine is not only paving the way for animation in the business sphere, but for young female entrepreneurs across the globe!

As fantastic as that is, however, it’s not what we’re highlighting in this article…

To celebrate not only the release and success of Destination Animation, but also the contributions of everyone who made the book happen, we held a book launch drinks party at the fabulous Scotland House London!

The evening was filled with divine Scottish-themed canapes, heart-warming speeches, a touch of magic (literally), and lots of lovely people! After spending so much time conversing back and forth with our amazing list of clients online, it was simply amazing to finally see and meet some of them in person.

It’s been a long two years of numerous lockdowns and never-ending travel restrictions, which meant (sadly) that many of our lively lizards we’re yet to meet each other in person. That’s certainly not the case anymore!

In the words of Jessie, our mograph guru: “I’m glad you’re all just as nice and friendly as your faces on zoom.”

Unfortunately, the talk of the evening wasn’t always Destination Animation. But that’s entirely on us for getting a magician to entertain our guests. And not just any magician, but Patrick Ashe, the closest thing you’d ever see to a real-life wizard from Hogwarts! Every time you thought you had seen it all, Patrick whipped out another, even better, trick!

Is magic real? We’re starting to think so after what we saw…

Finally, the book launch drinks party also doubled up as our animation studios’ 7th birthday party. And what’s a party without cake? (And not one, but two giant Sal cut-outs?)

We also had some lovely stickers printed of our lizardy mascot from the printing masters at Sticker Mule. We seriously can’t deal with all these ADORABLE little replicas of Sal everywhere you turn! Just look at him holding his belly next to the cake…

Honestly, the book launch drinks party couldn’t have gone down better. From the food to the company, it almost made the icy London air that awaited everyone outside worth it!
